Magnolia Makeup Pigment Review and Swatches

Hello Beauty Junkies,

It's review time again and this time I'm here to review Magnolia Makeup pigments and glitters (blog coming on blushes). I have been literally busting at the seams to finally publish this blog and review these products. But, I had to keep pushing it back further and further  because I kept ordering more products!  So in true makeup addict fashion, I have made 4 orders, and I still think that I have more items I want. So enough about my addition and let's get to the review.

Some months ago, I was watching some YouTube videos from Ebony at Coloured Beautiful, Tina at The Fancy Faced  and other various beauty gurus and I kept hearing this buzz about Magnolia Makeup pigments. I started to go some research to find out what they were all about. Magnolia makeup is an independent makeup company started by two sisters, Tia and Niala, from New Orleans, La who are both freelance MUA.  They started the company a few years ago to specialized bright vivid pigments for WOC and boy did they get it right.

Can I say that these pigments are amazingly awesome and then some?!?!?!?! The colors options and payoff of this pigments and glitters are simply stunning. After making the decision to purchase some of the pigment, I discovered that they would be having a Black Friday Sale, where all of the pigments and glitters would be 50% off or $5 each. So in true makeup addict fashion, I bought a powder foundation, 16 pigments and 3 glitters. I got the pigment a few days later. I rushed home, ripped open the package and got to swatching. I almost fainted. These pigments are the truth and the light. I was so impressed, bought 9 pigments more, that I originally had question marks on.

I was testing and loving my pigments and glitters and almost ready to go my review. Then Magnolia makeup released the Fleur de Fab collections and I knew I had to have it. Now, it was Christmas and I would have been irresponsible for me to not buy gifts to buy makeup so I decided to wait awhile. I was on there facebook page and saw that they were having an After Christmas sale, similar to the Black Friday sale. I took the opportunity to pick up 7 pigment from the new collection and 8 others. So I know what you are thinking. Where are the swatches already?

Here are the swatches of the pigment that I have so far (all swatched WITHOUT primer)....

I have a few more to swatch and add to this post later (4th order didn't arrive in time to make this post).

I can't say enough good things about this product and this company. They shipped my order quickly and and I have received them in a few days. The customer service was awesome when Patrice put the wrong address in paypal (silly me). They responded quickly and it didn't delay the shipping process.

All I can really say is run, don't walk to the nearest computer and visit them at http://www.magnolia-makeup.com/. If you don't believe me, just order a few and check the quality for yourself. I know you will be more than pleasantly surprised.

Until then stay beat,

Patrice

  2. Thank you. Since I found about the sale, and was inticed by the Magnolia site I placed two orders before reading this. Reading your review let me know I made a good decision. S&H rates are so reasonable.
